It's the little things.........

......that makes life so sweet. A smile from a stranger, laughter of a friend. Here some other things that put a smile in my heart and on my face.
*I love to get email's and snail mail
*watching my husband play with our children
*playing with my kids
*finding an old picture I haven't seen in years
*finding an old friend
*talking to a nice person on the phone
*making silly little goodie bags for my kids classes
*hearing others praise my kids
*hugs & kisses
I could go on and on but I'm pretty tired and ready to go to bed. I can't believe that tomorrow is Halloween! Time is just flying. Matt and I are taking the kids trick-or-treating. Austin is going to be Freddy Kruger, Luke will be a rock star and Savannah will be Cinderella. They are REALLY excited. We painted pumpkins this evening. Good Times!!

Luke's baritone

I wanted to post some pictures of Luke with his Baritone but Savannah wanted it to be her photo shoot. So here is Nana after dance class with a butterfly she made. Luke is in the background with his beast.
It's almost bigger than he is!

I'm sure he will get better and better with practice. I'm off to watch my Ray's!!

All aboard!!!!

That's right everyone, jump on the Tampa Bay Ray's bandwagon!! We have always been fans even if we were made fun of. But now it seems that everyone in St.Pete is a fan. We went to a game last month at Tropicana Field and their were more empty seats than full. I am so proud of this team for making it to the World Series, they truly are special.
My husband got a call yesterday from his boss saying that he had an extra ticket to last nights game. Matt was worried that I would be upset if he went without me. I was more than thrilled that he got to go, even without me. He had a blast and was 20 rows up on first base line.

More BounceU pics

Zuzy's dad took tons of picture at her birthday party last weekend. When Savannah went back to school on Monday he had a album that we could view on-line. These are the pictures he took of Nana and I. My daughter sure does have quite a personality. She would climb up, sit down, pull her soxs up, slide down and yell, "this is AWESOME!!" She must of done that 20 times.

this is the best!!!

Luke

We took Luke to have his follow-up hearing test this morning. It had actually gotten worse in three weeks. Our next step is to see his ENT again to make sure it's not something physical. He has already had 3 surgeries, a CT scan, and blood work. He hasn't see the ENT in probably 2 years because they had already cleared him. So we will see if he can find a reason for the hearing loss.....again. After that he will have another hearing test and we will go from there. It's looking like he will need the aids. We did find out that he will be able to pick what color he wants so that is cool. They usually last 5-10 years so that is good too. We will do whatever we need to do to make sure he has everything he needs.
Luke has joined the school band and will be playing the baritone! We are all excited about that. Austin is getting better and better with the guitar, and Savannah is quite the little dancer too. I think I have the coolest kids ever, they are so much fun. I love them more everyday. I almost forgot that the boy's now have Ray hawks! I will be sure to post some pics tomorrow. Thanks for caring enough to check on my little family.

Our weekend

This was the new "best weekend ever". Last October Matt and I went to see Maroon 5 in Tampa and it was the best day ever. When I found out that Maroon 5 would be in town again this October I knew I wanted to go.This year they were opening for the Counting Crow's. So Friday we headed over to Tampa for the best day ever part 2. The concert was at an outdoor venue. Maroon 5 was amazing as always. We only stayed for 4-5 songs from Counting Crow's because we didn't want to get stuck in traffic.
Saturday was a day to relax and we visited some friends Saturday night. We all had a blast!! Yesterday was a busy day of sports in our house. The Ray's lost game 3 in Chicago last night, they are still up 2-1 though. My Colt's came alive in the last few minutes and were able to get a win. Notre Dame won Saturday but USF lost. This weeks NASCAR race was at Talladega and Dale Jr. was doing awesome until he got caught up in a blown tire "big one". Oh well, can't win 'em all.
I've been sewing like crazy making little quilt's for my friends' new quads. They are so beautiful and doing awesome. I can't wit to meet them. Here is a link to Jenna's Blogger page. http://thewalkerfour.blogspot.com/

kids & a root canal

Austin had a great birthday weekend. Matt took Luke and Austin to Disney's Hollywood Studio's last Friday and they had a blast. I had a little one on one time with Austin Friday morning before they left. We went to IHOP for breakfast just the two of us. It was great to be able to talk without any distractions. I think we are going to do it every year now.
I have a tooth that has been a real pain. I had it filled and it still hurt so my dentist tried to fill it two more times. After a month of pain and way to many dentist visits I ended up getting a root canal yesterday. It was the root canal from hell. He had to keep giving me more shots because I could feel the drilling. He finally got it numb after 5 shots and quite a few tears. It was just awful but it's over now....no wait it isn't......my tongue is still numb after 31 hours!! It's just the tip and I'm told it could last days. Nothing is ever easy with my teeth.
I have a meeting at Luke's school tomorrow to see what can be done to help with his hearing loss. We are supposed to get results from the gifted testing they did last May too. I'll update again after that.
