I still don't have any news on my grandma. Still waiting on results. Here are some pictures I took a couple weeks ago at the park.

grandma

I talked to my mom last night about the doctor visit. I hadn't talked to her about the visit because I had talked to my cousin. They were both there with grandma but each one had different information. So after I talked to both of them I am a little more clear on what was said.
The blood they took on Tuesday was not to rule out blood cancer but was to see what type of bone cancer it is. The results should be ready today or tomorrow. From there she will need another CT scan of some type and biopsy I think?
I think I have it right now but since I wasn't there I can't be positive. Hopefully she will get the blood work results back today. Thanks again for all the support.

Tests & more tests!

Grandma with her b-day flowers

I don't really have any new news to share about Grandma. She went to the Oncolgist yesterday and they ordered more tests. I believe an x-ray and blood work were taken. She needs another test done before a biopsy. They are ruling out things right now, the first is a blood cancer. Hopefully things will get done quickly and we will have a diagnosis and start treatment.
I'll be in Anderson next month (7-13 thru 7-16)to visit Grandma. I'm praying that the drama will not make me crazy. With my family there is alweays drama. I plan to focus on Grandma and not worry about that stuff. They gave me a hard time saying that I would be sorry if I didn't see her before she dies. So I make plans and Matt is taking vacation days to be with the kids at home. Now they are upset because of where I want to stay while I'm in town. The only one that's not upset is Grandma.

The Weekend

We had a wonderful weekend staying at home and relaxing. Matt said it was the best Father's day ever, and I think I agree. The kids and I had surprises for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We made cards, signs, cake, truffles and root beer floats. We just did whatever Matt wanted to do and, he loves being home.
I did take the kids to the beach on Saturday to fly Nana's new kite. It was so beautiful but a bit hot. I thought about how blessed I was to have the life I have. I thought about how people spend their savings to come here for vacation and I live here. I thought of how blessed I was to have my three healthy kids with me enjoying a slice of paradise. They don't know what it's like to not have such beautiful places in their backyard. I was also thinking about how blessed I was to have so much support from family, friends and many friends that I have met on-line.
When I first found out that my grandma most likely has cancer, I was crushed. I came to the computer and spilled my heart out in hopes of getting stronger. I have been truly blessed with all the support I've received. I am feeling my better knowing that I'm not alone. I have the best friends.
Grandma goes to the doctor at 1:15 tomorrow. I hope that they have a plan of action and get started on it ASAP. I will be posting any new news tomorrow. I'm also planning on going up to Anderson for a couple days. I haven't seen her since Nana was a baby in November of 04. She used to come to Florida ever year to visit family. She's stayed pretty close to home the past 10 years.
Thanks again for checking in.
Oh, I almost forgot....Dale Earnhardt Jr. won the NASCAR race yesterday!! It was his first win in over two years. Tiger Woods was awesome yesterday too!!

I am asking that you please pray for my Grandma. A mass was found in her shoulder and we are waiting to see if it's the "c" word. She also has a crack in her bone and a tear in her ligament. She is the greatest Grandma ever and she is in so much pain right now.

Dancing Princess!!

Yesterday was Savannah's very first dance recital!! I'm not sure who was more excited, her or I? Her class did a wonderful job. All the Daddy's danced with the girls, they were so cute!! I did record the dance but it's not worth sharing, the lighting and my camera didn't mix. The pictures aren't that great either, so I plan on taking her to get professional pictures taken. So for now just enjoy these pictures.

Animal Kingdom

I have recovered from my stingray sting. The bruise is almost gone and all that's left is a small hole where the stinger was. I never ever want to get stung again. I'm sure that I'll be back at the beach soon, I'll just be more careful.
Matt took yesterday off and we took the kids to Disney's Animal Kingdom. It was our first time and I was impressed. Disney really knows how to do entertainment for the whole family. The rides were awesome and not much of a wait anywhere. We saw the Nemo show and it was unbelievable!! I would recommend it to everyone!! Nana was a little scared when the sharks were on stage though. We got totally soaked on the water ride and the roller coaster was rockin!! We still have one more day to use on our 4-day passes. I think we will save it for Austin's birthday in September.

Nana & my foot

Here is Nana ready for dress rehearsal. I think she's ready for the big show on Sunday. I will get more pictures and video there. Matt will be dancing with her along with all the other daddy's.

This is what my foot looked like 4 days after the stingray got me.
